What is an ELM327 OBD2 adapter?

ELM327 is a family of interpreter chips that sit between the car’s OBD2 bus and your phone or laptop. The adapter translates ISO/CAN protocols into a simple command set (AT commands plus mode requests such as 03 for codes).

Why iPhone users care

Classic Bluetooth SPP adapters that Android loves often do not work well on iOS. Prefer Bluetooth LE adapters, or MFi accessories designed for iPhone. MotorBit supports BLE scanning and MFi connections.

Cheap clones
